What is inside fruit?

We are looking at what is inside fruit and we are counting how many seeds are in each piece of fruit.  Afterwards we made the fruit in to fruit salad.  Lenni told us that generally fruit have seeds and vegetables don't although there are some exceptions. We are not sure about pumpkins.  They have seeds so are they a fruit or a vegetable?. Noah told us that peas must be fruit.

Inside the Earth

We have been learning about what is inside the earth.  Firstly we looked at an egg and compared it with the earth.  The yolk is the core, the egg white is the mantle and the shell is the crust.  We then made marshmallow balls and compared them with the earth.  The pink part in the middle is the hot core, the biscuit layer is the rocky mantle and the coconut third layer is the crust.  We ate the marshmallow balls.
